Professor Peter A. Windsor is a veterinary scientist with over four decades of experience in livestock health, production, and welfare. Currently Professor Emeritus at the Sydney School of Veterinary Science, he is also President of the Sheep, Camelid & Goat SIG of the Australian Veterinary Association. He has worked extensively in pathology, epidemiology, academia, and international livestock consulting. His global contributions include disease risk management, pain mitigation strategies, and improving livelihoods of smallholder farmers across Southeast Asia. With over 300 peer-reviewed publications, he has received numerous honors, including the Fulbright Scholarship and medals from Cambodia and Laos.

Prof. Windsor is a distinguished veterinary scientist with a career spanning over four decades, covering diagnostic pathology, applied epidemiology, academia, and international consultancy. A Fulbright Scholar (1980), he holds a PhD (1987) and DVSc (2007), and is the recipient of the AVA/ACVSc Kesteven Medal (2012). He currently leads the Sheep, Camelid & Goat Special Interest Group of the Australian Veterinary Association and has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications.
