Dr. Konstantinos (Kostas) S. Voudouris is a Professor of Hydrogeology specializing in groundwater systems, aquifer vulnerability, and sustainable water resources management. His research focuses on groundwater quality assessment, pollution risk mapping, aquifer recharge, seawater intrusion, and integrated hydrogeological modeling, with emerging emphasis on climate-change-driven droughts and sustainable groundwater governance. He has held long-standing academic leadership roles at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, serving as Director of the Laboratory of Engineering Geology & Hydrogeology, and has also contributed internationally as a Guest Professor in China. Dr. Voudouris has made significant contributions through the development of innovative vulnerability assessment methods, groundwater management frameworks, and decision-support tools widely applied in Europe and beyond. His work informs environmental policy, water resource planning, and ecosystem protection initiatives.
