Dr. Naveen Chandra Pandey is a Guest Faculty in the Department of Botany at Kumaun University, Nainital. He holds a Ph.D. in Botany from Kumaun University (2020) and has a Master’s degree in Botany (2008) and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry (2006), all from Kumaun University. Dr. Pandey also completed a PGDESD in Environment and Sustainable Development from IGNOU in 2022. With over a decade of experience, he has worked as a Field Research Fellow, Herbarium Assistant, and Resource Person at various institutions, including Lok Chetna Manch NGO and G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment. He is currently involved in research focusing on plant taxonomy, biodiversity conservation, and ethno-botany. Dr. Pandey has published numerous research papers in reputed journals, contributing significantly to the understanding of plant diversity, conservation, and medicinal plants in the Kumaun Himalaya region. He also serves as the Assistant Coordinator at IGNOU Study Centre, Kumaun University, and is an active member of several academic committees.
