Dr. Sharyu Vasantrao Ghonmode is a Professor of Zoology with over two decades of teaching and research experience, specializing in Entomology, Hydrobiology, Ecology, and Biodiversity. She earned her Ph.D. from RTM Nagpur University in 2002 for her work on silk protein biosynthesis in Antheraea mylitta. She has completed a UGC-funded minor research project and has published around 26 research papers in peer-reviewed, UGC Care, Web of Science, and Scopus journals. Dr. Ghonmode is a recognized Ph.D. supervisor with three ongoing doctoral candidates and has published books, book chapters, and patents, including a design patent and copyright. She is actively involved in editorial work and is a life member of several academic and professional bodies.

Dr. Ghonmode completed her SSC and HSC from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandrapur, followed by a B.Sc. in Zoology, Chemistry, and Microbiology. She earned her M.Sc. in Zoology (Entomology specialization) in 1998 and completed her Ph.D. in 2002 from RTM Nagpur University, focusing on silk protein biosynthesis in Antheraea mylitta (tropical tasar silkworm).
